More Than You ought

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Romans 12:3

My wife was dreading going to the DMV Not only because not only are the lines long and the amount of documentation egregiously burdensome, but there seems to be a pervasive spirit of control in the building. It is almost without fail that you will not receive what you are looking for the first time.

As my wife was relaying her dislike of even thinking of having to go, it dawned on me: If we are emissaries of the living God and we carry His Truth, Love and Grace with us, and provided we are aware of this truth and not overshadowed by our own problems or thoughts… It stands to reason that when we approach a situation like the “DMV” and - pray in advance as Jesus was know to do (Luke 5:16) - the Grace and Mercy of the Father would fall on the place and even non-believers would be blessed because the Kingdom of God is at hand.

A look at Jesus’ ministry reveals that every moment of the 3+ years was used for the Kingdom. Even though the bible is only a a brief account of all he had done on earth (

), His focus was all about the Kingdom. If we take this same approach with a heart full of joy and eyes firmly fixed on Jesus, we will have the same if not greater results

Between Mine and my wife prayers and a desire to bless all,I believe that not only she will be blessed but All who come into Hs presence through her will be as well.
